In under two minutes!
We turn liquid cream to ice cream in under two minutes. Using an advanced cold plate that reaches temperatures well below -10°F, the ice cream produces smaller ice molecules to make it naturally smoother and creamier, eliminating the need to add in additional fat and emulsifiers to create the same rich, creamy texture we love in ice cream.
original base, cheesecake, strawberry, strawberry sauce, graham cracker
chocolate base, brownie, chocolate fudge, chocolate chip
Thai iced tea base, sweetened condensed milk, fortune cookie
vanilla base, chopped peanuts, pecans and almonds, caramel
original base, autocrat coffee syrup, mini frosted donut
vanilla base, oreo, chocolate chip cookies, cookie dough
original base, peanut butter, reese’s cups, chocolate fudge
So fresh. So delicious. Thai rolled ice cream comes to Rhode Island and you better get some.
A single serving is $7 and well worth the price. Fresh cream is ladled onto a cold plate and mixed until it starts freezing. The cream is then spread thin, covered with the toppings of your chosen flavor, and scraped up into tiny perfect rolls of ice cream. This is then stuffed into a cup, covered in yet more toppings, and cheerfully presented for your delight.
Despite all the extras and the very rich taste of fresh cream, this frozen treat doesn't feel heavy or overindulgent at all. Don't feel any shame either in eating Mike's ice cream as fast as you can because it will melt quickly! It's ok. Drink the ice cream soup too.
I have tried the #instagood, which is vanilla ice cream with cookie dough and topped with an oreo and a thin, delicious chocolate chip cookie. Definitely good, and definitely insta-worthy (that's photogenic, for those in the peanut gallery). Today I decided to try their namesake, the #mikesice, and omg it was seriously one of the best things I have ever had in my life. Thai tea ice cream with sweetened condensed milk. You can add whipped cream and a cherry at no cost. I chose to take advantage of their gracious limited-time offer of a "Pokemon Go" (pokeball-shaped) donut for $0.50, SO WORTH IT.
Sadam J. Salas was born in Providence, RI on February 27, 1992. As a child he observed his father, Nicolas Salas, build as he is a respected mechanic in the community. This sparked a passion for creating and innovation. He developed a hard worker philosophy from a young age for taking the easy route only leads to a disappointing destination. As an intuitive deep thinker in 2006 he received the Inner City Scholarship which focuses on minorities with exceptional academic abilities. With the aid of the scholarship Sadam attended the prestigious Bishop Hendriken high school. He continued his education at the Community College of Rhode Island to become a civil engineer. With the inner workings of a civil engineer and his passion for cars he built his beloved Honda civic. On May 8th, 2016 the courageous Sadam J. Salas deployed to Iraq as a member of the construction battalion. Coming back from deployment filled with an entrepreneur spirit, Sadam co-found and serves as the chief financial officer for Rhode Island’s first Thai Ice Cream Company, Mike’s Ice in the loving memory of Micheal Gnoato.
Thank you Sade Jackson, John Baez, Zuliana Vidal and Daisy Demoranville for all your dedication and support.

Mike’s Ice is Rhode Island’s first Thai-inspired Ice cream company. Thai ice cream rolls originated in the world renowned street food scene of Thailand. The process starts off with a liquid ice cream base and other fresh ingredients. It then undergoes a swift and skillful mixing procedure. When frozen to the perfect temperature, the mixture is then rolled into delicious ice cream and customized with fresh toppings. This process causes the ice cream to produce smaller ice molecules resulting in a smoother, creamier, and richer finish. It also eliminates the need to include unwanted additives resulting in a healthier more natural product than traditional ice cream. Mike’s ice was created to honor our dear friend Micheal Gnoato who passed away on August 15th, 2013.
